Tintinalli Tuesday: I’m giving a lecture on cardiac trauma later this month, so in preparation, we’ll delve into Thoracic Trauma. This outline will help organize that talk, and in the next 2 weeks, we’ll expand beyond the basics and culminate with a screencast premiere of the lecture we’ve built!
The Presidential Assassinations: “There are some details, which give us a glimpse of emergency medicine as it was practiced in 1865. He sends two fellows – one to get some water, the other to get some brandy.” – an excerpt from THIS article, which is the inspiration for this week’s post. This is an interesting topic for those interested in the history of medicine.
Prezi Presentations: I was not able to get into it last week, but I want to talk about the pros and cons, as well as my personal experience with this innovative online software. I’ll also provide a sample lecture I recently gave about Cold Exposure Injuries. For anyone whose job requires public speaking.
Case Report: What to think when your headache patient’s CSF flows like a waterfall from the top of the manometer… We’ll go over a recent case, differential diagnosis, and a couple pearls on CSF collection/interpretation.
