Ralph B. “Monty” Leonard Ph.D, M.D. is a retired faculty member, and one of the first Emergency Medicine specialists at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston Salem, NC.  His writings are published here with permission from Monty’s Handouts, © 2009. Those who have trained with or know of Dr. Monty Leonard are probably familiar with his insightful handouts on the “little things” of Emergency Medicine.
